【新】 耶和華 神對女人說：「我要大大增加你懷胎的痛苦，
你必在痛苦中生產兒女；你要戀慕你的丈夫，他卻要管轄你。」
耶和華 神又對亞當說：「因為你聽從了你妻子的話，吃了我吩咐你不可吃
的那樹上的果子；地就必因你的緣故受咒詛；你必終生勞苦，才能從地裡得吃的。
地要給你長出荊棘和蒺藜來；你也要吃田間的蔬菜；你必汗流滿面，才有飯吃，
直到你歸回地土，因為你是從地土取出來的；你既然是塵土，就要歸回塵土。」
【NIV】To the woman he said, "I will make your pains in childbearing very severe;
with painful labor you will give birth to children. Your desire will be for your husband,
and he will rule over you."
To Adam he said, "Because you listened to your wife and ate fruit from the tree about
which I commanded you, 'You must not eat from it,' "Cursed is the ground because of you;
through painful toil you will eat food from it all the days of your life.
It will produce thorns and thistles for you, and you will eat the plants of the field.
By the sweat of your brow you will eat your food until you return to the ground,
since from it you were taken; for dust you are and to dust you will return."
【新】 看哪！耶和華的手不是縮短了，以致不能拯救；他的耳朵不是不靈，不能聽見；
而是你們的罪孽使你們與你們的 神隔絕；你們的罪惡使他掩面不顧你們，
不聽你們的禱告。因為你們的手沾滿了血，你們的指頭被罪孽玷污，
你們的嘴唇說虛謊的話，你們的舌頭講出凶言。
沒有人按公義求告，沒有人憑誠實爭辯；他們都倚靠虛無，說虛謊的話；
所懷的是毒害，所生的是罪孽。
【NIV】Surely the arm of the Lord is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear.
But your iniquities have separated you from your God;
your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear.
For your hands are stained with blood, your fingers with guilt.
Your lips have spoken falsely, and your tongue mutters wicked things.
No one calls for justice; no one pleads a case with integrity.
They rely on empty arguments, they utter lies; they conceive trouble and give birth to evil.
